Worried about the trip….
By Marc • Mar 11th, 2003 • Category: the FamilyGosh. Only a week left to go before I go back to the Philippines. I can’t wait to see Suzette again. Everyone is so worried for my safety. They don’t understand that the reports we get over here of bombings and fighting are far from where I’ll be. In Manila, if you just use common sense and a little street smarts, you’ll be safe. It’s just like any big city over here, with the exception of me sticking out like a sore thumb in the crowd. No, the only thing that worries me as far as the trip goes is this war. What if boarders get closed while I am over there? What will happen to my job, my apartment or my cat if I am gone a month or more? These are things I worry about. Even that I do not worry about much. If you know me well at all, youÔøΩll know that my list would be a longer if I REALLY worried about it.
All that really matters is being with Suzette. I do not know how I have made it so long without her. It has been since my last trip in September that I have seen her. I miss her terribly. Hopefully it will not be too long once I get back that she will be able to come over here. I guess only time will tell.
