Hurry up and wait

Well, here we are again. We are waiting on the government. I sent the visa application for Suzette today. We’ll see how long it take. I am still confident that it will not take too long. I have been told that it should only take 3-4 months from the time they first get the application to the time she gets her visa. Let’s hope so. Please everyone keep this in your prayers.

I was reading a thing on Jack T. Chick’s website today. It was a pamphlet on “horrible whore of Babylon” that is the Roman Catholic Church. He contends that the Church is a device of Satan used to deceive right thinking Christians and damn them to the eternal hellfire. My first question is, if the RCC is a tool of Satan, why aren’t all the Heavy Metal bands members? Plus, just one error I’d like to point out among the many is his condemnation of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He claims that the current form of confession (confessing privately to a priest is a holdover from Babylonian paganism. He claims that the ancient ritual is almost exactly the same as modern RCC confession. Well, I have news for him. The currently used form of the Sacrament did not develop with the early Church in the Holy Land or Rome. It started later in the Celtic lands (British Isles, which are no where near Persia or Babylon). This was also when the custom started of giving absolution immediately. Before then, you had to complete you penance before receiving absolution. This is just one of the cornucopia of errors in this single tract about the Roman Catholic Church. Of course I have to love this guy for what he is trying to do, spread the word of Jesus Christ. But I can never have respect for the work of person who preaches hate the way he does. Just in a simple skimming over his website, I found what I could only call hate literature against Catholics, Muslims and many others. If you visit this website, be careful. Much of what is there is well disguised as the truth.
