Why I’m glad they killed Kate
By Marc • May 25th, 2005 • Category: Pop Culture, the GeekDon’t worry……I’m talking about a fictional character. I watch Navy NCIS pretty much every week and I’ve gotten to like the show and the characters. I’ve got some things I want to say about last night’s episode, but I must include a spoiler warning….
I was completely shocked when Kate was killed. I mean completely. Somehow I missed the whole ad campaign saying that “one agent will give their life”….etc…..
But in a way, I am happy the powers that be did it. It totally blew me away and made me feel emotional. That’s exactly what a good entertaining TV show is supposed to do. It turns out that Sasha Alexander wanted to leave the show. I am really glad they didn’t have leave with some sappy “I’m going back to the Secret Service” plot or some such drivel. This was much more of a proper ending for a character such as Kate, to die in the line of duty. Plus it will for sure bring me back next season to watch the emotional turmoil for the other characters. If I know Bellisario, he will handle this well. I will be entertained.
I’d like to wish Sasha Alexander the best in her future endeavors and the remaining cast and crew of NCIS many more seasons.
That’s all for now….
