More Muslims kill more Christians
By Marc • May 28th, 2005 • Category: the RanterRead the story here.
What we don’t seem to understand is that this whole war on terror is a religious war. It’s not a war brought about by Christians, but a war brought about by Muslims. I’ve heard commentators and “experts” on the news channel state that they can’t figure out what the insurgents in Iraq are up to. They say their actions don’t seem to point toward any attainable goal. These “experts” are missing the point. The insurgents are in a “holy war” (that’s one of those terms like “jumbo shrimp”, isn’t it) to either kill or convert everyone who does not follow their radical brand of Islam. That’s why they have no qualms about killing other Muslims over there, because in their eyes those people are not “good” Muslims.
Now in the case of the news story above, it is simply a war in the streets between the Muslim majority and the Christian minority, but it’s still a part of this Muslim holy war. It’s the same thing, just in a different part of the world.
We Americans don’t really seem to understand this whole concept of holy war because so few of us take our own religion seriously. With that being the case, how can we possibly take someone else’s religion seriously. That’s our vital flaw when it comes to fighting this war. Sun Tzu said that to beat your enemy, you have to know your enemy. We can’t know our enemy when he has a state of mind we can not relate to.

Hello Marc/All,
I read your post and of course you religion (Catholic Christian) seems to be a big part of your life and I don’t blame you for your views and prejudice even though you might not see it but believe me it is there. I would like of you to take the time and read what the other side thinks and feels. It is very easy to brand a whole group of people as being a certain kind of people with a certain trait. you do not hear much about Jews terror groups and policies that causes terror and discrimination to a whole population of Palestinian people who have very little in the way of defending themselves that might drive them to resort to unspeakable actions (that I do not support), but fully understand and sympathize with.
if nothing is done to react to injustice, injustice will not stop, on the contrary it will increase.
Back to your views and comment as to Muslims killing more Christians, I beg to differ from you, and tell you my friend you are very mistaken and do not know the real story outside what is filtered and allowed to pass to you and others in main stream America and many western countries.
The death of over 1 million Iraqis even before the latest illegal / unethical / baseless was of aggression against a Muslim country that has never showed nor harboured any hostilities against the USA. 1 Million Iraqi (mainly children) died due to the embargo against the country that included even basic Humanitarianism goods and medicine. children dying of starvation and malnutrition everyday… and the constant attacked and bombing of civilian areas, I suppose since you have not heard about this nor have taken the time to investigate you are justified in forming your narrow and mistaken opinion of (who kills who more)…
The root of all evil, is knowing that other people who are stranger to your culture your religion and your beliefs try and do control every aspect of your life and any chance of a better life just to satisfy their greed and need to prove superior by controlling over whoever is less fortunate then they are, stealing their natural resources, suppressing their freedom….
America has killed (hundreds even thousands of time) more people in foreign countries than they have suffered at the hands of those people. And i don’t just mean Muslims, it was done in Korea, Vietnam, South America, Middle East to count a few. The trail of death and destruction that is caused by America in the world is too long to ignore, and the silly new terms (Muslim terrorist, war on terrorism, spreading democracy….) are nothing but terms that meant nothing but distort the fact and mislead the average American man into thinking “we are on a higher moral ground than they are”….
America government has the chance and the means of doing good in the world and making people and nations of all colors and creeds love them if and only if they stop their (defend American interest at ANY cost) which translate to, step on every other peoples interests, freedoms, sovereignty, and future..
No one group of people is violent by nature. Now a days, some people are not even allowed their GOD-GIVEN right to defend their freedom from occupation and injustice and if they dare resist they will be nothing but terrorists in the eyes of some people who are FREE yet without conscious. People of Iraq has every right to kill, maim and cause harm to any American or foreign soldier and whoever is aiding them in illegally occupying and controlling their proud country. I would give you as an american the same right if another country did to the USA what the USA has done to Iraq.
Peace be upon whomever extend their hands in peace and justice, and death and destruction befell all who attack without cause, cause death and take away the freedom of others without any justification.
Hussein!
Dear Hussien,
Salaam! May peace be upon you and your family. May God’s light shine upon you.
I am sorry your comment was moderated. This was NOT done for any reason other than the SPAM I have to deal and try to keep off my site, most especially pornography and gambling advertisements. my apologies that it has taken so log for you post to appear as I had I to allow it manually.
I’d like to respond to a few of you comments.
Yes, my religion is very important to me. One of the things Jesus Christ taught us was to love one another as he has loved us. I do try very hard to do that with all my heart. Sometimes I fail. But one thing I do my best not feel is religious prejudice. I do not hate Muslims. I have had good friends who are Muslims. I have had good friends who are Jews. I have had good friends who are Christians. I have had good friends who are not at all religious (even atheists). I have been good friends with them because they are good people. One religious thing I can not tolerate is fundamentalism. That’s what my post was about, not Muslims as a whole, but Muslim fundamentalists. And believe me, I have just as much disdain for Christian fundamentalists as I do for any others.
The specific attacks mentioned int eh news story I referred to were the murdering of Christians by Muslim fundamentalists.
I am always willing to do that. It would have been nice if had left a valid email address so we could learn from each other one on one.
I agree wholeheartedly. But that takes something called compromise that Fundamentalist Muslims will not do, any more than fundamentalist Christians.
I put that as a headline because that’s exactly what happened in the news story I linked to, Muslims killed Christians. You’re trying to avert attention away from that by putting an evil face on the USA. Keep in mind that the USA has no official religion. Everyone is welcome here, unlike some countries. My frustration in this incident also comes out in the fact that the Indonesian authorities will probably do nothing more than what they absolutely have to do because this happened to Christians.
I am sure I would not describe it as that. While my patriotic side was somewhat apathetic toward the possibility of invading Iraq, my Christian side was leaning a slight bit against it. What’s done is done however and now the occupation of Iraq by coalition troops at the request of the current sovereign government has my full support.
That was UN embargo.
Please provide links. I would be happy to look at whatever you can share. Also again, you are comparing apples to oranges. In the news story I linked to, Muslims killed Christians because they were Christian. However you keep talking about the US as if it represents Christianity. Well, it doesn’t. Thanks be to God.
Thank you. That just proves my point. The goal of fundamentalists is to force this particular evil on everyone……Fundamentalists whether they are Muslim or Christian.
Korea - A UN action to stop communist aggression. We were invited there by the South Koreans and asked to help by the UN.
Vietnam - We were asked to help by the South Vietnamese to stop communist aggression.
South America - We invaded the whole continent?
Middle East - I’m sure you’re not just talking about Dessert Shield/Storm, but I’ll do that one anyway. Desert Shield, a coalition was put together to protect Saudi Arabia from Iraqi aggression. The Saudi’s actually begged us for help.
Thieves and lawyers are on a higher moral ground than any fundamentalist.
The one thing you’re missing is that the majority of the insurgents are not Iraqis. So if all Iraqis help the Soldiers of the US, then the Jordanians and the Saudis and the Nigerians and the Afghans and the Syrians that are fighting in Iraq have a right to just kill everyone else in the country? That doesn’t make sense.
Take care Hussien and may god bless you! Please feel free to email me via the contact page that you get to by clicking here. I would find it most agreeable to continue this discussion with you on a one on one basis. Rest assured your email address will remain private.
I’d also like to everyone who reads this to keep in mind my original intent was to blast not Muslims in general or Muslim extremists specifically, but the American people in general for being so faithless.
Just an update, Hussien has in no way responded to my reply. I wanted to make sure anyone else reading this knew that. In hindsight, I should have just deleted the original comment since he left a bogus email address. But I really wanted him and any other person of a faith that I do not share with them to know they are free to speak their mind in honest, open and civil discussion.
