Did everyone forget what today is???
By Marc • Jun 6th, 2005 • Category: For the Troops, the RanterI just got home a little while ago. It’s about 10pm. I’ve had a very busy day and haven’t had much time to blog, much less check what’s happening in the blogosphere. I check my RSS feeds. Of all the feeds I subscribe to, including a number of news sites, only one of them mentioned the fact that today is the anniversary of D-Day. Imagine my surprise. Kudos to Michelle Malkin for mentioning it on her blog.
Let’s not forget the sacrifices brave Allied warriors made on this day 61 years ago. It was a harsh and brutal campaign and we have to be thankful we were victorious.
Eternal rest grant unto them oh Lord. And may perpetual light shine on them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
