I have no clue where this guy is going with this

This comment was left on my Rosa Parks post.

I think we should speculate on what the world would be like if history was a bit different, and we had laws forcing Rosa Parks’ mother to abort all her black babies. I am not saying that I think all Black babies should be aborted. That would obviously be wrong, even if there were some positive social benefits of such a policy. What I am saying is that it is an interesting question to generate intellectual discussion. We might also want to ponder whether forced abortions is preferable to forced sterilization.

As you can see, there is much to think about, and I hope this message has served to generate some interesting discussion.

I was just going to delete this since it was very off-topic and the guy included and obviously fake email address. But then I decided it was too odd to just loose. I have no idea where he was trying to go with it. It seems kind of all over the place to me.

But it does remind me me of this one..

Take the quiz.

A. The mother of a family of 14 is pregnant again. Her husband — the father of all 14 of these children — has a history of alcohol abuse and mental disorders which frequently causes him to abuse his other children. The mother herself is already worn out from trying to care single-handedly for her large family and doesn’t feel she can care for another child at this point. On top of all this, two sons in the family also have a history of alcohol abuse, one of the children is in a mental institution, and none of the other children have steady, dependable jobs with which to support mom and dad. Abortion or Not?

B. A poor black family in the South is expecting a fifth child. This family, because of its skin color, already has difficulty receiving help and are already at the bare minimum poverty level. The outlook for their present children does not look bright. Abortion or Not?

C. A woman is engaged to a man some years older than she; she finds out that she is facing an unplanned pregnancy. The child she is carrying is definitely not the son of her fiancé, and he is worried for her sake and for their reputation in their community. This child could put a serious strain on their relationship and on any future children. Abortion or Not?

Okay, everybody finished? Here are the results:

A. If you answered Abortion for A, congratulations! You just aborted Ludwig Van Beethoven!

B. If you answered Abortion for B, again, congratulations! You just aborted Martin Luther King, Jr.

C. If you answered Abortion for C, YOU WIN THE GRAND PRIZE! You, my friend, have just aborted Jesus of Nazareth.

  1. Here’s the deal. Bill Bennett recently made some comments about abortion crime. I don’t think you guest quoted it correctly. He was talking about how violent crime stats were going down, and then he made the connection to abortion, saying that if you aborted all the black babies, crime would go down, and he added that he didn’t think that was a good solution. To me, it sounded like he was slamming Planned Parenthood’s eugenics views about who should have abortions, but the press took him out of context as saying that blacks should abort all their babies. I think your commenter was trying to say something, but he wasn’t coherent. But this was what the Bill Bennett thing was originally about.

  2. HM…I get it. “This is Bill Bennet” “This is Bill Bennet on drugs”

    Thanks for the info Dennis.
