EVANSVILLE, Ind. – A tornado ripped across southwestern Indiana and northern Kentucky early Sunday, killing at least 15 people, wrecking homes and knocking out power to thousands, authorities said.
This is terrible. Please be sure to pray today for the repose of the souls of the dead, their families and the other victims of this disaster.
Thorough a glass darkly has a pretty striking picture of one of the tornadoes a tornado.
UPDATE:Per a comment below, the pic linked above is not a from the tornadoes in Indiana. Sorry for the mix-up.

FYI, that tornado picture that you have linked is a pretty famous photo in the world of storm photography. I have looked at thousands of pictures of tornadoes and instantly recognized it. It is not of the one that occurred last night.
I will be with you in prayer. As a storm buff I hate to see things like this happen. We were on pace to have a record year in lack of fatalities from tornadoes until this happened. I would be thrilled if we could find a way to keep hurricanes out at sea and tornadoes over the vast areas of uninhabited land.
Thanks for the correction.
A Tornado in Indiana in November is Rare. Quite odd the fact that “Homeland Security” was all over it..and so FAST…..
Never knew they took so keen an “interest” in the “weather”
I feel sad for the people who were caught unaware. At least if it had happened in teh day, they may have had a chance.
