Two new blogs from a couple of wonderful priests
By Marc • Nov 7th, 2005 • Category: Catholic stuff, the ChurchThere’s two new blogs in my blogroll. Both of them are form priests, one I know and one I don’t.
The first is Fr. Bryan Timby who writes at Of Things Divine and Orange. Fr. Timby is the pastor of Holy Rosary, my old parish back in Memphis. I’m really happy to see him doing something on line. It helps me have that little piece of home. By home I mean both Nashville and Holy Rosary. If anyone from down there is reading this, Suzette and I miss you all so much.
Anyway, Fr. Timby was there when i came back to the Church and he was there when I got married. He’s a special person in my life and I hope by reading his blog, you’ll allow him to ignite your faith the way he has done mine since I first met him.
He starts off his profile with this.
I am a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Memphis in Tennessee. I am currently pastor of Holy Rosary Parish
And he ends it with this.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and have been told that I “bleed orange.”
And it only gets more interesting in the middle.
The other priestly blog I’ve been reading is Bonfire of the Vanities. Fr. Fox is realativley
somewhat new to priesthood, but obviously on fire with the Holy Spirit. So go check him out!
Marc is a Catholic technology geek living in Tennessee. He blogs at Wild Tangents and is the host of the Catholic Vocations Podcast.
