Risk via Google Maps
By Marc • Nov 14th, 2005 • Category: Software, the GeekI can remember a long time ago, when I was in highschool. I had a friend named Joey who attended Christian Brothers College (at the time – it’s a university now). I went up there one Saturday to play in tournament for the boardgame Risk. I was so proud that I won. I had beaten all those college students and even got my name on the wall. Well, now I can relive past glory days with this Java version of the popular boardgame. Since it’s Java, it will run on any system that has Java support. It also uses Google Maps for the interface. How cool is that?

Hey.. I spotted your blog in my random searches to see what people are thinking about my game. Just so you know the game is programmed in “Javascript” a completely different language than “Java” and all modern browsers support without plug-ins (you may need to allow it depending on your security level).
Thanks for posting about my game though.
I stand corrected. The website I found this via (which is lost for all eternity) described this as a “java application”. I was planning on downloading it this afternoon when I got home from work. Now I don’t have to.
