Philippine peso bills misspell Arroyo
By Marc • Nov 21st, 2005 • Category: In Other News...., the Weirdo“MANILA (Reuters) – Filipinos could have collectors’ items in their wallets after a small number of 100-peso (1 pound) bills slipped into circulation with an error in the president’s name.”
Apparently they mis-spelled it “S-C-A-N-D-A-L”… It’s an easy mistake to make. I mean nobody’s perfect.
UPDATE: I need to make a correction. Apparently “Scandal” wasn’t a mis-spelling. I’ve been told that’s her middle name. The misspelling seems to be that they spelled “Arroyo” as “Arrovo”. I am told that “robo” means “robbery” in Spanish. This could be an attempt to “Tagalocise” the Spanish word for robbery. I am hoping someone can confirm this. If that’s true, then this is truly funny.
