This whole gays and the priesthood thing is getting out of hand

Vatican: Sexually Active Gays Unwelcome
UM….HELLO!!!! Are you listening, or are you deaf? Straights who are sexually active aren’t welcome either… This isn’t meant to pick out homosexuals and say they aren’t fit to be priests. It’s meant to pick out active, unrepentant sinners and say they aren’t fit to be priests. Being a homosexual is not sinful in and of itself. Being a sexually active homosexual is sinful, just as sinful as being an (unmarried) sexually active heterosexual is sinful. I just don’t understand what it’s going to take for people to soak this into their thick skulls. I mean if it’s easy enough for me to understand, why do so many people just not get it????
[WINK - Because we have someone on the inside at the Vatican.]

Isn’t it nice when the media quote a document before it was actually released? Must be that inside source….
Actually, I am getting tired of the lack of brevity on the whole matter. USCCB apparently is incapable of releasing a statement less than 14 pages to say “No”. After reading the text of the release from the Vatican, I am again concerned with the attempt to use a long, somewhat confusing statement to say “NO” and then having to explain what the meaning of “is” is (no issues within 3 years).
What are they thinking??? No means no-sorry –not qualified-unacceptable, no further review required-no exceptions. Fits nicely on one page, single spaced. God has provided other vocations for those who have resolved thier issues.
