Bad review of “New World”

By Marc • Dec 2nd, 2005 • Category: Pop Culture, the Ranter

It sounds like Terrence Malick has yet again quit his seclusion from Hollywood to make a rehash of his other movies.

However: in most ways “The New World” is surreal, slow, confusing, choppy and just plain weird. I mean this in the best way — it’s really interesting filmmaking. But it’s also psychedelic and kooky.

That was pretty much how I would Describe The Thin Red Line……

It sounds like it’s much worse than all that too. Go read the review. I think I’ll take a pass on this one.
