Philippine peso bills misspell Arroyo

By Marc • Nov 21st, 2005 • Category: In Other News...., the Weirdo

“MANILA (Reuters) – Filipinos could have collectors’ items in their wallets after a small number of 100-peso (1 pound) bills slipped into circulation with an error in the president’s name.”
Apparently they mis-spelled it “S-C-A-N-D-A-L”… It’s an easy mistake to make. I mean nobody’s perfect.
UPDATE: I need to make a correction. Apparently “Scandal” [...]

“MANILA (AFP) – Philippine President Gloria Arroyo has condemned the latest bomb attacks in
Iraq and expressed condolences for two Filipinos who were among the victims.”
I’m surprised she’s condemning anything bad. I wonder how she is going to leverage this to draw attention away from her stolen election last year. I also wonder how she’s going [...]

But wait……Could it be that things were too easy? You betcha!

The Did Bush Lie? Just Google It meme seems to be catching on, so here’s a new graphic you can use if you want to support it.
I did just that. I made it a little smaller so it would fit on my blog though. I hope nobody minds. I really hope that [...]

By Marc • Nov 15th, 2005 • Category: In Other News...., the Ranter

Here’s the word on the street in Amman. Everyone suddenly hates Zaraqawi. As soon as Jordanians saw their own countrymen blasted out of existence, they suddenly care that this madman is murdering people. Since it’s not just Iraqis and Americans he’s killing anymore, he’s suddenly a villain instead of a hero. [...]

Don’t mess with Texas

By Marc • Nov 9th, 2005 • Category: In Other News....

Texas voters Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, making their state the 19th to take that step. In Maine, however, a proposal to repeal a new gay-rights law was trailing in early returns.
This is good news from Texas. Everywhere people are standing up for the sanctity of marriage. Texas (as [...]

Michelle Malkin proves that sometimes a picture is worth one word in particular

By Marc • Nov 7th, 2005 • Category: In Other News...., the Ranter

The first word is hero. After reading all of his letter he left his girlfriend, “hero” is the only work I can think to describe Corporal Jeffrey B. Starr.
The second word is turncoat. While I think “traitor” is a little too harsh, I do think this word suits him.
UPDATE: I’ve gotten an email [...]
